Former Solicitor General Pilo Hilbay shamed Solicitor General Jose Calida for postponing oral arguments on Anti-Terrorism law. The abogado said that he is acting like a law student who cannot recite because there is no radio.

this should make everyone pause and reflect w sadness. the chief lawyer of the nation can't argue an important case bec some assistants are (allegedly) sick. and the supreme court finds the request meritorious.

Hilbay also seems suspicious of the claim that his assistant solicitor general is allegedly sick and tested positive for COVID-19. The abogado asked why he can’t argue case without them and why the SC found merits to postpone it.
