Justice Secretary Menardo Guevarra on Monday directed the National Bureau of Investigation to investigate the alleged complicity of immigration and airport personnel in so-called ‘escort-services’ involving illegal Chinese workers entering the country via Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA).

He issued the directive to the NBI following reports that Philippine offshore gaming operators (POGOs) allegedly spending P10,000 prt illegal Chinese migrant.

Reports disclosed that the ‘escort service’ proliferated due to the connivance of Bureau of Immigration (BI) and airport employees.
