Go for more: Chief Justice pushes for ‘practice-based’ law education in PH
Chief Justice Alexander Gesmundo wants a change in how legal education is being approached in the Philippines.
The abogado said that it will go beyond just merely passing the Bar.
Legal education in the country will now be focused on “practice-readiness” by law students instead of concentration on passing the bar examinations.

Gesmundo said that the approach will be more “practice-based” now. The abogado blamed the focus on just passing the Bar as the main root of the exam’s terrible attrition problems. He wrote, “today we break the cycle.”
