Fake news na naman! Robredo denies P1B on the line to make presidential bet step down as her 2022 VP
Vice President Leni Robredo became the target of yet another false information smearing her name on social media.
The abogado and politiko categorically denied wild claims on Facebook comments that she was being demanded to pay P1 billion to get an existing presidential contender to back down and join her 2022 slate instead.
“I was informed of a post circulating that, allegedly, a Presidential contender asked for P1 Billion to agree to run as my Vice President,” Robredo said.
Robredo has yet to announce her plans for the upcoming polls one week before the filing of candidacies. Those who have revealed their presidential aspirations for 2022 so far are Senators Ping Lacson and Manny Pacquiao, as well as Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.
