Examinee from Bicol aced 2019 Bar examinations
An examinee from the University of Santo Tomas – Legazpi (formerly Aquinas University of Legazpi) aced the 2019 Bar examinations with an average of 91.0490 percent.
Mae Diane Azores was one of the 2,103 out of 7,685 examinees (27.36 percent) who hurdled arguably the toughest licensure examination in the country.
She was followed by University of the East examinee Princess Fatima Parahiman at second place with 89.523 percent.
Azores’ schoolmate Myra Baranda made it to Top 3 at 88.825 percent.
The other schools in the elite Top 10 circle are: San Beda Alabang, Palawan State University, University of Sto Tomas in Manila, Jose Rizal University, Saint Louis University in Baguio, Polytechnic University of the Philippines in Manila, and University of St La Salle.
Supreme Court Associate Justice Associate Justice Estela M. Perlas-Bernabe said the high court lowered the passing grade from 75 to 74.
