Erin Tanada rejects VP proposal to regulate social media
Atty. Erin Tañada says that Vice President Leni Robredo’s proposal to regulate online is not a good idea. The abogado said he disagrees with it despite the messy online activities recently.
I have to respectfully disagree with my VP on this. I know it is frustrating to battle fake news and lies. But her proposition is too drastic a solution. A solution is to enhance values education re social media to our students and include it in the school curriculum. https://t.co/Pu1nFdtxsF

Tañada noted that he understands Robredo’s frustration with disinformation online. However, the abogado mentioned that her solution is too drastic.
The abogado suggested that social media education should be enhanced. He wrote, “enhance values education re social media to our students and include it in the school curriculum.”
