Eid’l Adha. SC announces no work in all courts nationwide this Monday
The Supreme Court announced on Thursday that there will be no work in all courts nationwide this Monday in view of the country’s observance of Eid’l Adha (Feast of Sacrifice).
It was declared a regular holiday by virtue of Proclamation No. 789, series of 2019.
Eid’l Adha, also called the “Festival of the Sacrifice”, is the second of two Islamic holidays celebrated worldwide each year, and considered the holier of the two. It honours the willingness of Ibrahim to sacrifice his son as an act of obedience to God’s command.
