DWIZ apologizes to Aquino clan for Gadon’s HIV remark vs PNoy

The management of DWIZ radio network has issued a public apology on Friday, a day after its guest Larry Gadon baselessly claimed in one of their shows that former President Noynoy Aquino died of HIV.

Netizens and LGBT groups raged against the “Bobo” abogado, calling for his disbarment following the insensitive remark made on the day the former President suddenly died.

“The Management of DWIZ would like to apologize to everyone and in particular, to the Aquino Family about the inappropriate statements made by our guest host in the show Karambola about the sudden death of our former President Benigno Simeon Aquino III,” the network said in a tweet.

“The Management has taken action about this uncalled for comments and will not tolerate this kind of incident. We sincerely would like to extend our condolences to the bereaved family and the whole nation,” it added.

Still, many Pinoys were not pleased, saying the damage has been done. Others called for transparency about the supposed “actions” taken by the media company.
