Diokno’s Bar tips: Read carefully, manage time, answer all

Akbayan Rep. Chel Diokno, a lawyer, shared tips to this year’s Bar takers as the licensure exam for the law profession nears.

Diokno reminded the aspiring lawyers to read the question well before answering. They could read it more than once if necessary to ensure they really got it.

He also said that if the question is answerable by “yes” or “no,” they should give their response directly before explaining why they answered that way.

Another tip they should keep in mind is to budget their time based on how many points are given to a particular question.

They should avoid getting stuck on a question that is only worth a low number of points, he said.

But they should make sure to answer all questions.

Diokno said it is most important that there is no question they leave blank.

This year’s Bar exams will be held on September 6, 9, and 13, 2026 in 15 local testing centers nationwide.
