Senator Sonny Angara explained why he voted “no” in the resolution to censor Lt. General Antonio Parlade Jr.

Angara claimed that it is just the first step and that once the Senate is back in session, that’s only when the discussions will begin. The abogado said that they have informed Senator Franklin Drilon’s office that they will be supporting it on the floor.
Not all senators get to read proposed resolutions before they are filed. Filing is not approval or disapproval, it is only the first reading or step. The crucial step is the voting. The Senate is not in session and resumes in May which is when these resos will be taken up
