De Lima scolds IATF for fixation on regulating private sector’s vaccine purchases
Senator Leila De Lima scolded the Inter-Agency Task Force for making it unduly hard for businesses to bring in COVID-19 vaccines when they are very much willing to cover for the cost.
“Not only is this making vaccines practically unavailable to already distressed companies, this regime is also using access to vaccine a political tool for patronage politics and influence peddling,” the detained abogado said in a Saturday statement.
De Lima also suggested other pressing matters which the IATF should focus on, such as stopping vaccine smuggling like what members of the Presidential Security Group did, and in curtailing the vaccine black market.
