Court orders NBI exec’s transfer of detention
A former National Bureau of Investigation official, tagged as the alleged owner of a property in Virac, Catanduanes where an alleged shabu laboratory was discovered, will be transferred to the Makati City Jail from the Virac District Jail.
This was after the judge in Branch 63 came up with an order for the transfer of detention of Atty. Augusto Eric C. Isidoro, former acting regional director of NBI-Central Mindanao Regional Office (NBI-CEMRO).
Also the Supreme Court in a resolution allowed such transfer.
Isidoro was facing a case for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 for conspiracy to manufacture dangerous drugs and/or controlled precursors and essential chemicals.
Police said the Virac shabu lab was probably the biggest discovered in the country with six hydrogenators that can produce up to 9.6 tons of shabu every month.
