Court defers hearing on Trillanes rebellion case

The Makati City regional trial court branch 150 has rescheduled the hearing of opposition Sen. Antonio Trillanes’ rebellion charge from March 20 to May 27.

This as Judge Elmo Alameda granted the request of Trillanes’ counsel Reynaldo Robles to defer the hearing, citing conflict in schedule.

Robles is also the lawyer of former Bureau of Corrections chief Franklin Bucayu, one of detained Senator Leila de Lima’s co-accused on drug charges.

The charges against Trillanes was reinstated after President Duterte signed Proclamation 572 revoking the lawmaker’s amnesty.
