Complaints piling up vs Norman Mangusin aka ‘Francis Leo Marcos’

A ranking official of the National Bureau of Investigation on Thursday revealed that more individuals are coming out in the open to press formal charges against internet personality Norman Mangusin alias ‘Francis Leo Marcos.’

NBI Cyber Crime Division Chief Victor Lorenzo bared that four persons have already approached his office and signified intent to file estafa charges against Marcos, who was recently arrested for violation of the Optometry Law.

Lorenzo added that more possible complainants have already sent feelers to file charges against Marcos, host of internet program ‘Mayaman Challenge.’

” I told them to formalize their complaints,” he said.

This developed as the NBI was able to confirm that a warrant of arrest for violence against women was issued by a court in Gapan City against Marcos. The court set his bail bond at P20,000.

Just recently, NBI agents arrested Marcos for violation of the Optometry Law after he was accused of distributing eyeglasses without necessary permits.

He was nabbed in his Quezon City residence by virtue of an arrest warrant issued by a court in Baguio City.

Lorenzo said that Marcos’ arrest stemmed from a complaint by the Philippine Association of Ophthalmology.

Marcos became ‘popular’ for his hit ‘Mayaman Challenge’ on social network where he would dare his affluent neighbors and friends to donate money and basic goods like rice to the poor.

He once reportedly claimed that he’s related to the family of former Philippine strongman Ferdinand Marcos.

But the camp of former senator Bongbong Marcos through his spokesperson, lawyer Vic Rodriguez, denied his claims of being related to the clan.#
