Chrysilla Carissa Bautista promoted to Ayala Land Chief Legal Officer

Chrysilla Carissa Bautista is the new Chief Legal Officer and Data Protection Officer of Ayala Land effective September 1.

Bautista’s new role came 14 months after she was appointed Vice President and Head of Litigation of the company.

Bautista takes over from Millette Arnedo, who has been designated Chief Policy Officer and will also stay as Vice President, Chief Compliance Officer, and Assistant Corporate Secretary.

Bautista was a partner at Angara Abello Concepcion Regala and Cruz (ACCRALAW) and had close to 25 years of experience in both litigation and corporate and transactional work before she joined Ayala Land in July 2025.

She has also been recognized by Chambers Asia Pacific as among the distinguished lawyers in Dispute Resolution in 2023, 2024, and 2025.

She is licensed to practice law in New York.

She obtained her law degree and a Bachelor of Arts in English Studies from the University of the Philippines.

Bautista is among the lawyers from prominent law firms who have made the move to the corporate world.

They include Villaraza & Angangco’s Franchette Acosta who has moved to Ayala Corporation, and DivinaLaw’s Estrella Elamparo and Enrique Dela Cruz Jr. who are now with Filinvest Development Corporation and SM Prime Holdings, Inc., respectively.
