Cayosa vows to cooperate with authorities to solve killing of two lawyers
The incoming president of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines has expressed willingness to cooperate with authorities to apprehend the killers responsible in the killing of two lawyers recently.
“These reprehensible incidents are symptoms of weaknesses in our justice system,” IBP Executive Vice President and incoming president Domingo Egon Cayosa said in a statement.
He called on all lawyers “to work for a faster and better justice system so that people need not resort to violence to settle differences.”
“Violence, regardless of the victim, is a derogation of the rule of law,” he stressed.
