Fortun stated that catcalling or unwanted advances in public is a crime as this includes misogynistic and homophobic slurs. Persistent request for mobile numbers, public masturbation, “chancing” can be fined to as much as 100,000 pesos or warrant at least 6 months in prison for repeat offenders.

The abogado also tackled gender-based online harassment and how stalking is now a crime in the Philippines. He stated that this applies to the workplace, school, and all public spaces.
