Bureau of Immigration confirms ILBO issued vs Julian Ongpin
The Bureau of Immigration on Wednesday confirmed that it has already received the immigration lookout bulletin order (ILBO) issued against Julian Ongpin, who was recently arrested for cocaine possesion and now under investigation for the death of visual artist Bree Jonson.
With this, BI is now monitoring all points of exit all over the country for the possible departure of the Ongpin scion.
“His name has been included in our derogatory database, and we are monitoring his border movement,” Immigration Commissioner Jaime Morente
An ILBO cannot bar a subject from leaving the country. It only sets up a mechanism that would alert the justice secretary or the prosecutor general should the subject attempts to leave the country.
Police arrested Ongpin, 29, on Saturday in San Juan, La Union, after 12.6 grams of cocaine were found in the hotel room he and Jonson were occupying.
Ongpin was Jonson’s boyfriend and was the last companion when she was found unconscious in Flotsam & Jetsam Resort. She was brought to a nearby hospital but was declared dead on arrival before dawn on Saturday.
The scion of Ongpin family claimed that Jonson committed suicide. But police authorities are still awaiting result of autopsy conducted on her body. #
