Many have wondered how Karen Jimeno managed to juggle her teaching load and personal studies with government work. But apparently, the abogado has resigned from her post as undersecretary for disaster resiliency last July.

The catch: The Presidential Management Staff has yet to pay her for her two-month work with them.

But Jimeno clarified on Twitter that the delay in her paycheck isn’t the fault of the PMS. Blame it on the red tape.

“To be fair it’s not the fault of PMS, but due to red tape. I had same experience when i worked for Yolanda Rehab under Pres Aquino. Also served in DPWH w/ no salary for about 6 months. What’s important is we
help & serve when we can, without corruption,” she said.

But looks like her short stint with the PMS was productive, too, as
she had finished working on the draft of the Disaster Bill.

Wala namang bad blood!
