Big steps: PDI promotes COO as Sandy Romualdez-Prieto moves on
The Philippine Daily Inquirer’s Board of Directors confirmed that Chief Operating Officer Rudyard Arbolado is the new Chief Executive Officer of the leading newspaper group. The abogado will be taking over for Sandy Romualdez-Prieto after 27 years of service.

Arbolado previously handled operations and was in-charge of taking care of the finances of the company especially during the pandemic. Through his outstanding leadership, PDI has managed to sail through.
Previously, Arbolado was an Associate Lawyer at ACCRA Law. He also was a consultant for GMA 7 and an analyst for AMA Capital Holdings, Inc and Unicapital Securities Corp.
The abogado is also a CPA, and a proud alumnus of the UP Diliman for both his law and Business Administration and Accountancy degrees.
