Ateneo Law alumnus Ryan Quan discussed why the human rights movement tends to alienate.

The abogado who has been with the NGO sector stated that the negative perception, misconstrued aggression, and language that does not connect are the culprit.

Quan said that the message is too important to not be able to capture your audience. The abogado pushed to make it more relatable and a new method called “hope-based communication” to help the movement connect.

He also shared additional materials on why this is a problem to be addressed as it resulted to other issues such as populist leaders.
