Anthony Taberna files 175 counts of qualified theft vs former employee

A total of 175 counts of qualified theft have been filed against broadcaster Anthony Taberna’s former employee, and the branch manager of East West Bank, before the Quezon City Prosecutor’s Office after they were accused of conspiring to siphon off some P15 million from the former ABS-CBN talent “Ka Tunying’s Cafe. ”

Charged were Ernie Patrick Aquino, former finance and administrative head of A. Taberna Foods, Inc., and Gualberto Baluyut II, manager of Eastwest Banking Corp., UP Village branch.

As head of finance, Taberna said Aquino was responsible for handling the payroll, sales, and financial documents of the company, and had access to the corporate accounts of Taberna Foods with EastWest Bank.
