Lawyer and National Police Commission Commissioner Rafael Calinisan was pleased to see the turnout when he recently visited the Manila International Book Fair.

In a Facebook post, Calinisan said he was glad that Filipinos still love books amid the prevalent use of electronic devices.

“Akala ko puro cellphone and tablet or ebook na tayo, so panalo na tumatangkilik pa rin tayo sa libro,” he said.

He attests to the importance of reading, saying he has learned a lot by consuming books.

He was also happy to bump into former law dean Mel Sta. Maria at the event and to support the book launch of fellow lawyers.
