De Lima honors priest who helped secure ICC witness on his birthday

Mamamayang Liberal party-list Rep. Leila De Lima hailed Fr. Albert “Paring Bert” Alejo for his courageous voice in the fight for human rights and justice as she honored him on his birthday.

Alejo, who has worked to seek justice for victims of former President Rodrigo Duterte’s drug war, also helped secure the safety of the witnesses in Duterte’s case before the International Criminal Court.

In a post on X, De Lima thanked Alejo for his service to the Lord and to his fellowmen.

She also said his words and his advocacies have helped many people to see the truth and gave them strength and hope to face the challenges that come their way.

She wished him excellent health, continued strength, and abundant blessings.
