2 abogados battling ATL succumb to COVID-19
Two lawyers who have stood up against the Anti-Terrorism Law are among the latest victims of the deadly COVID-19.
Reports from the Lyceum of the Philippines University College of Law confirmed the passing of professors Marilyn Cacho-Domingo and Joel Bodegon, both practicing abogados.
Bodegon, who is iconic for often wearing a bow tie to his court appearances, once lawyered for Senator Bong Revilla’s pork barrel scam case until he was dropped from the lineup in 2015.
Tributes have started to pour in for the fallen mentors.
Grateful for their lives and dedication to students, their friendship; as Christians we look to the promise of the Resurrection, when our tears of grief shall give way to tears of joy, and then all our tears shall be wiped away, and death finally dies!
