A total of 12,010, or 99.9%, of the 12,017 examinees who took the second day of the 2026 Bar Examinations showed up for the third and final day of the exams on Sunday.
The examinees took the final leg of the three-day examinations as they moved closer to becoming members of the legal profession.
The 2026 Bar Exams were held at 15 local testing centers nationwide with candidates taking Criminal Law in the morning and Remedial Law, Legal and Judicial Ethics, and Practical Exercises in the afternoon this Sunday.
San Beda College Alabang in Muntinlupa City served as the national headquarters and one of the 15 local testing centers.
The final-day attendance was slightly lower than Day 2, when 12,017, or 99.9%, of the 12,029 examinees who took the first day returned for the second day on Sept. 9.
The Bar examinations were held on Sept. 6, 9 and 13.
Supreme Court Associate Justice Samuel Gaerlan previously said the results of the 2026 Bar Examinations are expected to be released in January 2027.
Gaerlan said the delay would allow examinees and their families to enjoy the Christmas holidays before the results are announced.
“Everybody must have to enjoy the holiday. So I’m referring to Christmas holiday,” Gaerlan said during a press conference on the first day of the Bar examinations.
“So we will release the results after the holiday season. So it will be in January,” he added.#
