Denied: Xavier University is saying no to ‘ConAss’
The Xavier University Ateneo de Cagayan is coming together as one community to stand against the proposed Constitutional Assembly. They released a dissenting petition signed by several academics and professionals.
We, the undersigned academics and professionals, are expressing our deep concern as regards the process of reviewing and possibly amending our Constitution.

The XU made their stance as a university perfectly clear. The XU community and its abogado community do not want the constitutional reforms to go through a ConAss given the deep conflict of interest that 80% of Congress has.
They also stated that they will not support the cancellation of the 2019 elections. XU believes that the government should focus all their efforts in resolving bigger issues such as inflation and the rising death toll.
Mabuti na ang malinaw! It’s a no for them.
